UNRWA released this month its latest population figures in Syria based on the 2016 verification exercise. There are 438,000 Palestine refugees remaining in Syria against the 560,000 individuals registered with UNRWA in Syria. Out of those, 418,000 individuals rely on humanitarian assistance to survive, representing 95 per cent of the total Palestine refugee population in the country. Approximately 254,000 were displaced at least once within Syria.
